Dress For Spring
Spring is here and it calls for some cute and colorful dresses. I got to attend a fashion event with the San Antonio Fashion Society at the Moda Mia boutique. There I was fortunate to meet the owner, Galinda, and hear her story. She talked about how her mother owned a boutique in Mexico and how she decided to open her own her in America. She struggled financially with the boutique during the first four years. It really tested her but she was persistent. She learned many things about location and customer service, which she swears by. Now the boutique is doing well. We all couldn't be any happier for her.
While I was there I took a look around and tried on a few dresses. This one in particular caught my eye and I loved it even more once I put it on. The print and colors used are simply perfect. The back features a very cute slit that isn't too revealing. This dress wouldn't let me put it back so I purchased it. I so happy I did.
I paired the dress with shoes I bought from ShoeDazzle a while back. They are simple nude colored pumps so it isn't hard to find something similar. The dress says a lot on it's own so I wanted to keep all accessories basic. The long chevron and tassel necklace is from Seasons With Allie and the nude colored purse is from Forever 21.
I think this dress could be paired really nicely with a pair of green or tan colored leggings. Like the tan or green color in the dress of course. As a mom, I get a little nervous with this dress because it's shorter than I usually wear and so I feel like I can not lift my arms. The leggings would be the solution to this slight issue (if you'd even call it that). Regardless, it's another way to wear it. I'd even recommend trying wedges with this dress.
*As mentioned previously, I purchased all items featured in this post. You can believe that all opinions are 100% my own.
