Flawless Fashionista

I attended the Flawless Fashionista Fashion Show as a VIP guest blogger to support my fellow boutique owners here in San Antonio. In my opinion, San Antonio in general is not a fashionable city. It’s only been a couple of years that San Antonio hosted major fashion events such as San Antonio Fashion Week. With that said, owning a boutique is hard, even more so in San Antonio. So I am willing to support anyone in the fashion industry – just email me.

I arrived at the start of the event, which was a sip and shop. I was disappointed to find that their sip and shop consisted of Mary Kay, Thirty One, Origami Owl, and so on. Even more so, that the boutiques that were showing were not selling their items. I felt as if they missed out on a huge opportunity. My best sales have always been at events.

As seven o’clock approached we all took our seats. I was lucky enough to be seated next to a couple of my friends, Jeanelly of Fashion Lotus and a Style Lush TV contributor and Elsie a personal shopper and image consultant at EMJ Fashion. Showing that night was Flawless Fashionista, Kandi Factory, and La-ZayFair.

Overall, I loved the show. There were a few pieces that I’d buy but there was one romper in particular that I NEED to have. Each boutique showed one right after the other without any introductions so I’m not positive which boutique carries the amazing piece. Here it is below:

The thing I enjoyed the most about this show was that the models gave a little confident sass. It made me feel empowered as a woman and that is one of the reasons I opened my boutique. I love making women feel great about them selves. The confidence among the models was well conveyed. Bravo!

There were several plus-size models, which was awesome. As a boutique owner, I know the struggle to find fashionable plus-sized items. The boutiques picked some really great things and the audience agreed. I have no doubt they would have sold out that night.

Here are some of my top picks from the night:

My look for the night:

I wore a Seasons With Allie dress and statement necklace. I paired them with heels from Bakers.

I paid my own way into the show and did not receive any special treatment so you can be assured that my opinions are 100% my own.
