Carmen

I believe women are much stronger than they let on sometimes. I am lucky enough to have crossed paths with many amazing women. It’s one thing to talk about what a strong woman should possess but it would be much better to show you. Over the next week I am going to share a woman I find inspired by in my new segment, “Women of Distinction.”

I’d like you to meet Carmen. What I find most inspiring about Carmen is that she worked for this business for 5+ years but had bigger dreams. I’ve seen many people just settle for the career they are in but Carmen actually went after her dreams to become a real state agent. Switching career paths is a scary thing, especially when it is to a career that is solely commission based. I admire that she went head on and never looked back. It’s been over a year since she left her job and she is already doing well for herself.

As if that isn’t enough, Carmen is also a fashionista. She has the ability to curare awesome outfits with ease. She is likely the most fashionable realtor in San Antonio.

A: What do you find most rewarding in your career?

C:  As a full time Realtor, helping buyers and sellers navigate through the scary and stressful path to homeownership and making it as rewarding as possible fuels me every day and makes me love my career more and more.

A: How would you describe your style?

C: I like minimalist clothing and pieces that I can wear more than one way. If it's not versatile and I can't wear it in at least two different outfits I won't buy it.

Grey, black, white with punches of color

A: What is your go-to fashion item?

C: My go to piece: my black blazer. Dress it up with a pencil skirt and silk blouse or dress it down with boyfriend jeans, white tee and heels.

A: Name three things you like/enjoy.

C: I like 1) Flat White espresso and a warm pain au chocolat from Starbucks (my goal is to eat that everyday for breakfast), 2) outdoor farmers markets on a pretty day, and 3) a great hair day!
